All member organisations have equal rights in formulating the objectives of the Coalition and all have equal voting rights. Each member organisation of the Coalition is required to undertake some research/policy work for the Coalition, and each is responsible for liaising between their own constituencies and AWC. The Australian Women's Coalition is currently conducting research projects into osteoporosis, issues concerning women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, grand-parenting, women in the Australian constitution, and women's access to equity.
