MWIA Centennial Congress

2019 marks 100 years of the Medical Women’s International Association. MWIA is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is two-fold:

  • to advocate for and empower women in medicine to achieve their full potential in all aspects of medicine, and
  • to advocate for women’s health issues with the aim of improving the health of women and girls in society at large.

All AFMW members are MWIA members; a portion of AMFW membership fees are paid to MWIA as affiliation fees.
