DESCRIPTION:About\nThe Victorian Medical Women’s Society (VMWS) is excited to host an upcoming all gender inclusive Queer Health Panel and Networking Event for queer and ally doctors and medical students in Melbourne. \nThe event has 2 primary aims:\n\n\n To promote awareness\, interest and discussions about queer health\, specifically\, which areas of queer health doctors should consider and familiarise themselves on\, resources which are available for professional development and how to deliver safe and inclusive communication.\nTo help build networks/community/mentorships/friendships for queer doctors\, especially those in Victoria and female or non-binary identifying doctors and medical students. The event will have an approximately 30 mins panel session in which they were will some pre-thought out questions asked by the host\, as well as\, audience questions. This will be followed by a catered networking opportunity. During the event\, you will hear from a panel of women who have successfully balanced their medical careers with having children at various stages of their lives. These doctors will share their personal stories\, highlighting the challenges and rewards of having children while pursuing a career in medicine. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with the panel\, gaining practical advice and insights on how to make it work for you. \nIn addition to the personal stories\, there will be a talk on infertility in women in medicine. You will learn about recent data regarding the incidence of infertility\, pregnancy complications\, and breastfeeding practices among Australian and New Zealand doctors. You will also receive tips on how to communicate your family planning needs to your employer\, colleagues\, and patients\, as well as strategies for managing work-life balance. \nFurthermore\, we are thrilled to have a representative from AMA VIC in attendance\, who will provide valuable suggestions and resources to support you in your journey. DESCRIPTION:TOPIC\nThe Victorian Medical Women’s Society (VMWS) is once again hosting a CV Writing Seminar. Led by A/Prof Deb Colville\, the evening will provide tips and advice for CV writing\, using (anonymised) real examples. The main presentation will then be followed by an open Q&A. \nThis event is open to all VMWS and AFMW members! \n  \nCV REVIEW OPPORTUNITY\nThis CV Writing seminar also includes a unique opportunity to have your CV professionally reviewed by A/Prof Deb Colville.\n\nThe first 10 AFMW members\, including VMWS members\, to submit their CV will be reviewed for free.
