DESCRIPTION:This is the 13th year of the Jean Hailes health promotion program\, Women’s Health Week. AFMW President\, A/Prof Magdalena Simonis AM has been busy presenting at three events. \n  \nA/Prof Magdalena Simonis AM Presentation Schedule\n \nWomen’s Health Q&A – 7 Sept\nOn Thursday 7th September\, I will present in a Q&A at the University of Melbourne\, repeating the previous year’s successful session. These sessions provide a unique opportunity for students to have all their health questions answered by a leader in women’s health. It’s a joy taking questions from the audience; it’s a bit like consulting in my rooms but answering to more people! \nThese are casual and interactive sessions\, covering the important health checks you need and when\, as well as common conditions affecting women\, girls and gender diverse people\, like endometriosis\, heavy menstrual bleeding and Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). After the initial presentation\, the floor opens up to the audience for more questions. \nRegister: https://students.unimelb.edu.au/student-life/discover-unimelb/events/womens-health-QA \n  \n \nWomen’s Agenda Breakfast – 8 Sept\nOn Friday morning\, our Deputy Treasurer Dr Evelyn Konstantopoulos and I are invited guests at the Women’s Agenda breakfast\, with Assistant Minister Ged Kearney\, discussing women’s health issues. \n  \n \nGreek Australian Women’s Network – Women’s Health Seminar – 10 Sept\nOn Sunday\, September 10th\, I’m be finishing the week with my Greek Australian women’s group\, joined by experts sharing their insights in other fields.
