About Dr Jennifer Green

Dr Jennifer Green is an Orthopaedic Hand & Wrist Surgeon based in Canberra with Fellowship Training from the Indiana Hand Centre, Indianapolis, USA and Institut de la Main, Paris, France. Leadership is responsible for the most effective gender diversity initiatives and Dr Green advocates for the transparent inclusion of women at every level of organisational leadership and for all opportunities.

Dr Green is the founder of the International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance, a collaboration to improve equity in access to high quality orthopaedic care through increasing the inclusion of women and under-represented minorities in orthopaedics. She is also the Secretary of the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the Australian Representative on the Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (APFSSH).

Dr Green has held many leadership roles including as an AOA Board Member & AOA Orthopaedic Women’s Link Committee Chair. She has been the AOA Representative to the Diversity Council of Australia and on many committees where she has championed equity in health care including RACS Women in Surgery SectionRACS ACTAOA Champions of ChangeAOA Cultural Inclusion Working Group and as the AHSS representative to the Australian Ethical Health Care Alliance.
