The AFMW has embarked on several initiatives and projects over the years. These aim to either shed further light on the issues that we advocate for, or assist medical women both professionally and personally. If you are interested in conducting research or undertaking a project that is in alignment with our mission, we are very willing to assist.

In the spirit of the NAIDOC Week, we are very pleased to celebrate the outcome of the 2024 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursary Program. Congratulations to this year’s four recipients, who come from diverse backgrounds professionally, academically and geographically throughout Australia who have already achieved so much before embarking on their Medical studies and careers.

UPDATED – NEW RESOURCES AVAILABLE We are very pleased that the 2023 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursaries, announced during NAIDOC Week have been awarded to the recipients. This coincided with the announcement of the date of the Referendum on the Voice to Parliament. We encourage our members to continue to review additional resources with regard to this Referendum.
