During Reconciliation Week, the Australian Federation of Medical Women, is making a tangible commitment to the support of continuing education of Aboriginal and Torres’s Strait Islander women in medicine with a bursary. As part of their commitment to reconciliation and the Makarrata Commission, we would like to encourage and empower a female medical graduate who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, to further their medical career and/or leadership aspirations. Applications are being accepted until Monday 20 June 2022.
NAIDOC Week: Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursary Celebration – 5 July 2022
Mater Newstead Level 3 Auditorium, 14 Stratton Street, Newstead, Queensland, AustraliaREMINDER - 5 JULY: During NAIDOC week, there will be a joint celebration for the 2021 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursary Recipients in Brisbane on Tuesday 5 July 2022. We will also be celebrating the launch of the inaugural 2022 NCWQ - QMWS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Bursary sponsored by Mater. All members of the AFMW are warmly invited to participate in this event, either virtually or in person. Places to attend in person are limited however Zoom attendance is unlimited.
