The Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) has launched a groundbreaking new publication, “Maternal Health – An Advocacy Guide for Parliamentarians.” Focusing on the Asia-Pacific region, this resource aims to create change that will lead to a reduction in maternal health – the Millenium Development Goal number 5. The guidebook describes practical steps Parliamentarians can take, on multiple levels, to raise awareness and advocate for maternal and child health.
