Climate Action for Health Professionals (DEA Webinar)

Health professionals have a moral responsibility to take leadings roles in the fight against climate change. This is the sixth session of the After Hours webinar series, and will examine how health professionals can take effective action in the climate space and why their voices are so desperately needed.
Don’t forget that After Hours sessions are an activity accredited by the RACGP and ACRRM.
Hosted by Dr Kate Wylie, DEA and AFMW member from South Australia, and recent AFMW Open Forum Guest Speaker.
There will be an informal Zoom available to AFMW members after the session, to discuss our response to this challenge.

About Dr Kate Wylie
Dr Wylie is a GP who is passionate about climate action to improve health. Based in Adelaide, Dr Wylie has founded Climate Medicine, an advocacy project whereby she presents to community groups on the health effects of climate change.
She is an accredited Education Activity Representative with the RACGP and works with Doctors for the Environment in educating medical professionals on climate and health. She is a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corp having completed training with Al Gore.
In all her work, Dr Wylie applies a medical model to the climate crisis and as such offers a treatment plan for climate change. She seeks to activate her audience so they can become more involved in creating the paradigm shift that we need to combat the climate crisis.
