About The Organisers
Robyn Mann and Karen Lee are participants in the AIDH’s inaugural 6-month Women in Digital Health Leadership Program (Meet the participants – Women in Digital Health). This pilot program is a learning requirement of the program where we are challenges to design and implement a project. The goal of the project is to contribute some action or strategy that will support more women moving into leadership positions. We believe this project will support the program goal of increasing the number of women in leadership at all levels of the digital health ecosystem. We would like to thank our mentor Janine Cox for supporting us with this project.
AIDH Women in Digital Health Coffee Connections Pilot Program
We are inviting members of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) to take part in our pilot program for women currently working within the digital health industry or interested in working within the industry. While our sector continues to evolve and at a time when working from home is now the norm, we recognise that it may be harder to connect with others to explore issues faced by women working in our industry. This pilot program will provide a platform to discuss these issues, establish new connections and network with fellow members of the AIDH.
This program offers participants the chance to:
- Link up with industry peers, connect and expand your professional network across Australia.
- Share perspectives with women in different roles and stages of their career.
- Discuss some of the most important issues facing women in digital health.
- Take time out of your busy day for an informal coffee and chat!
How the pilot program works:
During this program, you will be matched with a different industry peer for 3 separate ‘virtual coffee catch-up’ sessions, over 3 weeks. We will connect you with a new participant each week and during that week we encourage you to set up a 30-minute virtual catch-up at a time suitable for you and your coffee partner. Each meeting will centre on the key discussion topic for that week and allow you to mutually share your experiences in this area.
Key topics and supporting content will be provided each week to help direct the conversations. These topics include:
- Wellbeing, Juggling Priorities and Avoiding Burnout
- Dealing with Difficult Conversations & Stakeholders
- Imposter Syndrome
While these topics will help guide the conversation, they are just a starting point and we hope that these will enable you to share rich experiences with your fellow participants.
