Healthcare: A Team Sport – Webinar – 22 June 2022
22 June, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm AEST

Register for the first webinar of its kind on June 22nd, 5:40-7 pm, where I’m joining a diverse and exciting panel on Inter-professional Education: Healthcare: A Team sport. Hosted by University of Melbourne, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences( MDHS).
Some things we will be discussing,
- The differences between craft groups
- Preferred learning methods of each discipline
- How to best target different learning goals from learners
- What suits one profession, often does not suit another. How have you overcome this?
- Have you found being at the interface of different professions has helped you solve problems in those areas? Challenges faced?
- Innovations – scaling up
Please share as this will be interactive and an invitation is extended to participants who have novel ideas or solutions to big problems in healthcare, to pitch them for funding their projects.
About
In this webinar we will hear from researchers in health professions, education and health workforce experts about the role of teams in health care, and how we can best develop learner capabilities for collaborative practice. We will also discuss how the university is working with healthcare partners (hospitals and communities) to develop high performing teams, clinician educators with skills in interprofessional education and ways to improve collaborative practice in the health workforce.
In the final panel session, we will combine these multiple perspectives, and ask the big questions about what issues we need to tackle when it comes to improving collaborative practice in the health workforce.
