AFMW President, Dr Coll is interviewing Dr Antonio Di Dio on the 21st August at 7pm. AFMW members and non-members are invited to attend this Zoom session.
About Dr Antonio Di Dio
Practicing clinician with over 30 years experience, combined with ongoing service through several significant Federal and State medical policy roles providing outcomes to improve the well being of Australians.
Looking to further serve the community in health policy leadership roles, bringing extensive clinical, stewardship and governance experience to continue a lifelong drive to improve Health outcomes for all.
Focus has always been to train and mentor others, actively teaching junior and senior doctors in clinical and professional contexts. Over two decades ongoing 24/7 supply of counselling services for health practitioners in psychological need.
Diverse experience, an ethics driven approach and strong leadership skills. Partner in a busy, successful medical practice, combining clinical work with numerous voluntary roles to provide better outcomes in areas of public policy and to the most vulnerable members of our community. Recently established a free clinic for Indigenous children to address immediate need while on a lengthy public waiting list.
Passionate sense of community, reflected in work with state and federal governments on policy development and advocacy to help mental health, refugee health, and considering those with disability. Community and social work extends to an emphasis on providing public education and focus on preventative health.
Key Achievements:
1) Chairperson, International Health Assessment Panel under Medevac Legislation 2019 assessing claims of refugees from Manus Island and Nauru.
