AFMW is interviewing Dr Marissa Daniels (MBBS, BMedSc) on the 9th October at 7pm. AFMW members and non-members are invited to attend this Zoom session.
About Dr Marissa Daniels (MBBS, BMedSc)
- UQ Research Student studying emerging technologies for molecular profiling of lung cancer
- Immediate past Co-Chair Young Australian Federation of Medical Women
- Past Treasurer Australian Federation of Medical Women
- Past Joint Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA) Webmistress
Marissa is currently based in Queensland, Australia. She has extensive experience working in a variety of regional and metropolitan hospitals as a paediatric intensive care medicine trainee. This has fostered in her an interest in achieving health equity by fostering inclusive working environments.
Therefore, in parallel with her clinical training, she has been involved in medical women’s society activities at a local, national and international level. This further cemented her passion for health equity and provided invaluable management and leadership experience.
