Widespread concern about the safety of Australians undergoing cosmetic surgery has led to the introduction of national Cosmetic Surgery Standards to protect people from harm. Today (14 December 2023) the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care released the National Safety and Quality Cosmetic Surgery Standards as part of broader reforms agreed by Health Ministers.
