Over 4,000 Australian women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer each year. The online resource The psychosexual care of women affected by gynaecological cancers (PSGC) has been developed to help health professionals develop the knowledge and skills to support women and their partners experiencing psychosexual concerns following gynaecological cancer. Being treated for a gynaecological cancer significantly impacts on a woman’s quality of life and can alter a woman’s behaviours, attitudes and feelings towards sexuality and intimacy. Tailored information and support for these women, however, is often neglected or mistimed. This resource has six modules that can be used for self directed learning, or by educators in both clinical and academic settings as part of a facilitated learning program.
