UNIFEM is the United Nations Development Fund for Women and works to support women’s human rights, economic security and political participation in developing countries. UNIFEM Australia is the Australian National Committee which supports UNIFEM’s work through raising public awareness of gender and development, engaging the support of governments, and raising funds for specific UNIFEM projects.
