RACGP President meet the candidates forum
Doctors for the Environment Australia is providing this meet the candidates forum to give RACGP members an opportunity to hear from the three doctors who have put their hats in the ring. We will discuss their motivations and their opinions regarding sustainable healthcare, environmental health and the broader social justice issues at play in today’s society.

HEAL Webinar | 24 August
Although medicines play a vital role in healthcare, they also leave a significant environmental footprint throughout their life cycle, from production and use to disposal. This seminar introduces environmentally sustainable prescribing, exploring its importance in sustainable healthcare and demonstrating how prescribing decisions can reduce environmental impact while maintaining high-quality patient care.
The keynote speaker is Dr Joost Piët who will share his work with Amsterdam UMC on environmentally sustainable prescribing. His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by Prof Katy Bell, University of Sydney , talking with Dr Kate Wylie (DEA), Dr Brett Montgomery (UniWA) and A/Prof Loai Albarqouni, Bond University.
