Climate change is a major threat to our health and to the delivery of health care. This year, Australia is the Lead of Negotiations at COP31, the world’s biggest climate decision-making forum. Our government has a huge opportunity to show climate leadership to support the health of all people.
As a member of the Climate and Health Alliance, we are pleased to share our policy priorities for improved health outcomes ahead of COP31. We proudly stand behind the priorities of our Pacific neighbours, who are leaders on climate justice and health equity. Together, we call on the Australian Government, the Prime Minister, its Ministers and Parliamentarians, to act to protect the health, wellbeing, and culture of all Australians, Pacific Peoples, and future generations.
