We are delighted to share this important announcement – the condition has not changed, but a new name feels so much more inclusive and is a welcome focus on a significant issue in women’s health

Canberra turned on gorgeous weather for the lakeside Fun Run this year, and our team from MWS ACT & Region donned various shades of pink, purple and teal (the Mother’s Day event now supports both breast and ovarian cancer research) to walk/run the 5km along lake Burley Griffin.

We are delighted to share that our AFMW past President Dr Sarah Coll is running for AMAQ Vice President and encourage all members to view her presentation which outlines her passion for supporting all Doctors. We wish the strong contingent of women who have nominated for Director roles in AMAQ all the best in the elections.

AFMW acknowledges and congratulates Dr Betty Ge, AFMW National Coordinator, on her election as President of AMA ACT for the 2026–2028 term.
