The Executive and Members of AFMW sends its deepest sympathies to the survivors and families of survivors of the Christchurch Mosques massacre on March 15th. We grieve with all New Zealanders for the loss of all the lives on that day.
As doctors, we especially send our deepest sympathy to the family and colleagues of the New Zealand doctor who died whilst at Friday Prayer that day.
We also acknowledge the work of the doctors and first responders who worked so hard to save lives. We want to lend support to the doctors who will continue to care for survivors and for the grief stricken families of the dead.
The Australian Federation of Medical Women condemns all forms of racism and religious intolerance.
