Congratulations to Dr Magdalena Simonis from the AFMW!

We extend a heartfelt congratulations to AFMW President, Dr Simonis on her inclusion in the recently published bilingual book “GREEK WOMEN OF INFLUENCE 1821-2021“.

A total of 300 influential Greek women are included from around the world who have left their mark in the world in the last 200 years, in various fields from science, medicine, arts, music, acting, theatre, engineering, politics, business, royalty, journalism, news presenters, sport, education etc. the book was produced by Mr Peter Andrinopoulos and launched by the #EnvironmentMinister the Hon Lily D’Ambrosio MP and The Hon Jenny Mikakos.

Some international featured women include: Bouboulina the first ever female admiral who was instrumental in the 1821 uprising to free Greece from Ottoman rule, Arianna Huffington, Tina Fey, Betty White, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, Dora Bakoyannis, Jennifer Aniston, Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos, Marilena Balouris, Sotiria Bellou, Sophia Vempo, Aliki Vougiouklaki, Maria Callas, Olympia Dukakis, Nana Mouskouri, Voula Patoulidou, Queen Sophia of Spain, Agnes Varda.

Some Australian featured women include: Stella Avramopoulos, Mary Coustas, Joy Damousi, Tina Douvos-Stathopoulos, Rena Fragioudaki, Mary Gakopoulos. MAICD, Mary Kostakidis, Lydia Lassila OAM, Jenny Mikakos, Maria Vamvakinou, Vanessa Pappas, Kris Pavlidis, Jill Taylor, Magdalena Simonis, A/Prof Tina Soulis Australian Contract Research Organisation (CRO), Vasso Apostolopoulos, Faye Spiteri OAM, Helen Zorbas AO, Voula Messimeri AM MAICD.
