The Medical Women’s Society of the ACT hosted a vibrant International Women’s Day cocktail event last night (10 March 2026), bringing together the medical community.
The evening buzzed with conversation as medical students from the Australian National University joined junior and senior doctors from across the region, creating a meaningful space for connection, mentorship, and celebration.
Against the backdrop of this year’s International Women’s Day theme, attendees shared stories of leadership, advocacy, and the everyday realities of practising medicine in the ACT. Senior clinicians offered guidance and encouragement to the next generation, while students and early‑career doctors brought fresh perspectives and enthusiasm.
The event highlighted the strength of intergenerational support within the medical profession and reaffirmed the Medical Women’s Society’s commitment to advancing women’s health and professional solidarity.
