RSVP FINAL REMINDER – AGM + PRESIDENT’S AWARDS – Dear AFMW Members, the AFMW Annual General Meeting is being held in person at the Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre, Melbourne (and via Zoom), Saturday 18 November 2023. In keeping with previous years, the AFMW President’s awards will also be given and we will have the opportunity to listen to a short presentation from each of the recipients. Please RSVP if you can or cannot attend. A Zoom meeting link will be provided upon RSVP.
Having the opportunity to honour three amazing medical women is the highlight of my AFMW year. The AFMW President’s Awards followed on from our AGM which was on Saturday 12 November, 2022. REMINDER – AGM – Dear AFMW Members, notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Federation of Medical Women will be held Saturday, 12 NOV – 10am-12:00pm (Melbourne/Canberra/Sydney); 9am-11am (Brisbane). You are warmly invited to attend. Professor Raina MacIntyre will be presented the 2022 AFMW President’s Award during the AGM, held via Zoom. Other recipients include Dr Merrilyn Murnane AM and Dr Madhura Naidu. Please RSVP if you can or cannot attend.
The Australian Federation of Medical Women hosted its Annual General Meeting this Saturday 6th November. We were privileged to have Australia’s Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley AO, PSM attend deliver her address to us in an informal conversational style. Three inaugural President’s awards were presented. This is the first time in nearly 100 years, that AFMW has ever given awards which made it an even more special event.
