Our esteemed colleague and QMWS life-member Emeritus Prof Mary Mahoney AO has passed away after a short illness.
We celebrated her enormous contribution to the advancement of women in medicine and advocacy for women in leadership in happier pre-pandemic times in 2019 at the NCWQ Bursary High Tea for the QMWS 90th anniversary.
She also spoke eloquently at our last QMWS medical history event at the Herston Medical Museum in 2018 when Prof Deb Colville visited Queensland as President.
