9 JUNE. AFMW President, Magdalena Simonis is presenting to the Greek women’s forum “Food For Thought” on all things menopause related. Sharing our knowledge and expertise by talking in the language of our CALD communities, helps demystify complex issues which women of some cultural backgrounds can find embarrassing.

17 JUNE. Please join Dr Kristine Barnden for this free one hour webinar hosted by Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA). Learn more about women's health in a changing climate. This event is targeted at health professionals but all interested parties are welcome to attend. After her presentation Dr Barnden will be joined by Ana Navidad, midwife and climate activist, for further discussion and to answer questions from the audience.
15 JULY: Join Breast Cancer Network Australia for insight into the latest treatments for breast cancer, as well as for a glimpse into the pioneering research shaping the future of how we treat the disease. This virtual conference is a must-join for people wanting to know about what treatments are available, what treatments are on the horizon and the options and considerations that might impact your own experience, including managing side effects. 17-19 AUGUST: Join us for Australia’s most ambitious climate initiative in the lead-up to Glasgow 2021 Better Futures Australia’s growing community of climate champions are declaring their support for taking ambitious climate action, showcasing real-world solutions and building momentum towards a focal event – a virtual national Better Futures Forum – 17 - 19 August 2021.
19 AUG. Please join the QMWS for their August Meeting on "Time for Reform of the Mental Health System in Australia?". Keynote speaker at the event is Dr Christel Middeldorp, Professor of Child and Youth Psychiatry and co-chair of the Strategy expert group. This is an online event is part of AFMW Open Forum calendar, with all AFMW members and network are welcome.
20-21 AUG - SAVE THE DATE: The MWIA conference event, hosted by the Korean Medical Women's Association, is being held as a Virtual Conference, Seoul, South Korea. The focus of the conference is on the topic "The Role of Medical Women in the Future". Call for Abstract Submissions close 19 July. Early registration deadline is 6 August 2021.

26 AUGUST: Join us at the next "After Hours" webinar, hosted by Dr Kate Wylie, DEA and AFMW member from South Australia, and recent AFMW Open Forum Guest Speaker. There will be an informal Zoom available to AFMW members after the session, to discuss our response to this challenge.
6-10 SEPT: Women’s Health Week is the biggest week in Australia focusing on good health and wellbeing for women and girls. Run by Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, the campaign takes a preventive approach to health by providing resources, tips and information on maintaining good health, inspiring women and girls to learn more and take positive action.
10-12 SEPT: All AFMW members and guests are invited to join the AMWI Mumbai branch for the MWIA Central Asia Regional Conference online event. Guest speakers include representatives of the Mumbai branch plus AFMW president, Magda Simonis.
16 SEPT: The VMWS invites you to join us for an evening of: All About Intersectionality, Feminism and Health Equity. This online event will explore how and why every patient’s identity influences their experience of healthcare, and discuss how we as medical professionals can address these factors to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

5 OCT: To mark both National Work Health and Safety Month and National Mental Health Month in October, AFMW president Magdalena Simonis is a guest speaker at a special complimentary 1-2 pm hour workshop (on Zoom), looking at the health, safety and well-being concerns of people working in the healthcare sector - 'Caring for the Carers'. Please share this important session on caring for carers during Occupational Health and Safety month.
