Women in digital health leadership program now open

Applications are now open until 20 January 2023 for the Institute’s Women in Digital Health (WiDH) leadership and professional development program. Now in its second year, WiDH was developed to advance the digital health careers of women through immersive coaching and personalised mentoring experiences. The 25 women accepted into the program will work with inspirational leaders, coaches and mentors from across the digital health community and join leadership retreats from February to August 2023.

Nominations for the 2022 Brilliant Women in Digital Health Awards are open

THE AFMW is pleased to share the following information concerning the 2022 Brilliant Women in Digital Health Awards which seek to recognise 25 women from across Australia for their achievements in the health and aged care sectors. Nominations are now open to recognise women at all stages of their careers for their contributions in mentoring, medical research, technology development, improving health outcomes using digital health or introducing a new digital process. Nominations are open until 13 June.

Report reveals gender disparity in Australia’s digital health sector

The Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health (BCWinDH) has recently published the findings of research conducted as a joint initiative between Telstra Health, the Digital Health CRC, CSIRO eHealth Research Institute, and Australasian Institute of Digital Health. This research, aimed to create a baseline understanding of gender diversity within the Australian digital health sector to help to identify the challenges and opportunities for improvement.

The inaugural National Women in Digital Health Leadership and Mentoring program has been launched! It’s the first of its kind in Australia and has been adapted from the program developed in USA, and modified to suit our context. We have 27 fabulous women who have taken the opportunity to venture into a leadership and mentoring program specific to digital health over the next 6 months.
