The UK’s leading sexual and reproductive healthcare body have published a statement calling for the reclassification of oral emergency contraception from a Pharmacy (P) medicine to General Sales List (GSL). Read the press release here.
On 6 November 2023, the Senate referred an inquiry into the Issues related to menopause and perimenopause to the Senate Community Affairs References Committee for inquiry and report by 10 September 2024. Submissions are sought by 16 February 2024.

This Inquiry seeks submissions from anyone with information or interest in the Inquiry into Women’s Pain. The Victoria-wide consultation is led by Safer Care Victoria, the Victorian Women’s Health Advisory Council and the Inquiry into Women’s Pain sub-committee. It begins on the 30 January 2024.
This inSight+ article, authored by Clinical Professor Leanne Rowe AM discusses how under the recently amended Sex Discrimination Act, the medical profession risks attracting the scrutiny of the Australian Human Rights Commission unless sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sex-based harassment, and victimisation of complainants or witnesses are eliminated in its workplaces and training programs.
