The Medical Women’s Society of the ACT held its annual Charity Dinner on 19 June 2026 at the Royal Canberra Golf Club, bringing together members for an evening that celebrated cultural diversity and strengthened community ties across the medical profession.
Canberra turned on gorgeous weather for the lakeside Fun Run this year, and our team from MWS ACT & Region donned various shades of pink, purple and teal (the Mother’s Day event now supports both breast and ovarian cancer research) to walk/run the 5km along lake Burley Griffin.

On 15 February 2026, the Canberra community came together to celebrate the retirement of Dr Clara Tuck Meng Soo, marking the close of an extraordinary 35-year career in general practice.

Café Stepping Stone catered for a recent ACT & Region MWS Dinner meeting featuring an inspirational Medical woman, Dr Barbara Orchard. Barbara has had a varied career culminating as a Public Health Physician in Canberra.
